Annual Labor's Day Breakfast, sponsored by the Southern Maine Labor Council

Once again "9 to 9", Maine's hottest labor band featuring the dynamic duo of Senator Beth Edmonds and the renowned write and musician, Portland's own Phil Hoose, will involve us in song. Photographer Guy Saldanha will have his thired series of People at Work on display along with our own "Red Sky" by Ralph Fasanella. And yes, once gain, there will be poems and politics.

John Radebaugh of Cape Elizabeth will receive the Working Class Hero's Award. At one time John practiced medicine in Bangor. He later taught at Dartmouth College and in between he spent three years working for Cesar Chavez and the Farm Workers Union.

Annual New Hampshire AFL-CIO Labor Day Breakfast

Join members of IBEW Local 1837 and other unions from across the Granite State to observe Labor's Day with food, speakers, and good company.

IBEW 1837 usually has tickets available for members who wish to attend. If you are interested in attending with the IBEW 1837 delegation, contact Tom Ryan or Cynthia Phinney at the Union Office. Advance reservations are required - preferably by August 15.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their everyday work clothes to the breakfast!

Please join us for the regular monthly meeting of the Eastern Maine Labor Council, AFL-CIO. Meetings are held the first Monday of every month with the exception of September. Bob Toole is the current delegate to the council, but all IBEW 1837 members are invited and encouraged to attend.
